One of the most important things I have learned from my Yoga training and practice is that we all have the power to change and transform our Selves and our lives. I share that inspiration with others through teaching Yoga.

I have found that shining from within is possible as Yoga fuels the mind-body-spirit connection. When you take time to create that space and pause, stretch, and clear your mind, you will feel grounded and body-aware as you participate in Yoga classes.

Yoga Credentials

Yoga Therapist

I am trained as a Yoga Therapist in the tradition of T. Krishnamacarya, known as the Viniyoga tradition — specializing in yoga for the individual.

I completed my training at the KHYF in India including 1,000 hours of required coursework and two internships: a month-long internship at the KYM in India and a two-year internship at Tucson's VA teaching Yoga to war veterans with PTSD.

My training as a Yoga Therapist includes applying Yoga tools in a one-to-one person connection for healing and transformation as well as the study of holistic healing, energy systems and general study of human systems, anatomy and dis-ease.

Yoga Teacher

I am trained as a Yoga Teacher in the tradition of T. Krishnamacarya, known as the Viniyoga tradition — specializing in yoga for the individual.

I completed a 250-hour beginner teacher training at Providence Institute in Tucson followed by a 500-hour advanced teacher training at KHYF in San Francisco. Both certify me to teach Yoga through Yoga Alliance including continuing education for Yoga professionals.

My extensive training includes detailed understanding of classical Yoga poses and modifications for each, sequencing and methods for application as well how to teach meditation and pranayama. These training programs prepared me to teach classroom Yoga and provided credentials to enter Yoga Therapy Training.
